Evaluation of Fermentation By-products

In the biogas production process besides methane and carbon dioxide gases, some other by-products are generated.

- H2S (hydrogen sulphide) normally having negative effect on the mechanical components of the biogas plants, can be a source of elemental sulphur, sulphuric acid, and sulfates.
- NH3 (ammonia) is a source of nitrogen.
- N, P, K (nitrogen, phosphorus & potassium), humic and fulvic acids are the source of macro- and microelements, necessary for soil and plants, and can be combined in a form of liquid or solid organic or organo-mineral fertilizers.

Water – thanks to special biological, chemical and physical processes clean water can be recovered.
