Production Planning & Analyses of Organic & Organomineral Fertiliser

 

It is possible to produce an organic or organomineral fertilisers from the fermentation by-products.

Organic fertiliser, as a natural alternative of chemical fertiliser:

  • it does not contain weed seeds.
  •  free from disease factors that threaten human health and groundwater
  •  contains up to 60% organic matter required for soil
  •  it has an organo-mineral structure
  • contains humic acid, N, P, K, which are essential for plant nutrition.
  •  has high water holding capacity

For different plants, and in different soil, fertiliser will be required in different amounts and varieties. First of all, we need to specify the product planning and production strategy. In order to learn the chemical content of by-product of fermentation (digestate in solid and liquid form) from the biogas plant, laboratory analyzes are required.

After evaluating the results of the analysis, it will be necessary to decide, whether the raw material we have is sufficient for natural fertiliser alone, in which plants it will be used, and which formulation will be required. If the natural fertiliser does not require the additional additives, organic fertiliser production license is required. If the ingredients in digestate are not sufficient alone for particular plants, it will be necessary to use additional mineral ingredients to obtain a required formulation, and then an organomineral fertiliser production license will be required.

After the final product(s) are specified, a detailed design of the production process, selection of the technology and equipment, followed by the investment and cost analyses will be necessary to be done.
